Intended Parents

Egg Donation

Your path to parenthood is possible via Genesis Egg Donation.

Our specialized egg donor program is designed to meet your unique needs. All of our donors come from diverse backgrounds, top schools, healthy lifestyles, and one central desire: to help parents like you build the families you dream.

Along the way, you’ll have individualized support from one of our case managers, coordinating all of the communication, considerations, and appointments to keep your journey on track.

Your Genesis Egg Donation Timeline

1. Joining our Program

First, complete our intended parent application to gain access to our private database of egg donors. Once we connect, we’ll host a one-on-one consultation to introduce you to our program, learn about your story and current needs, and answer any questions you have about the journey ahead.

2. Using our Database

In order to help you find the perfect match, you’ll build an intended parent profile alongside our team with a short bio, what you're looking for in a donor, and a few personality questions to help us get to know you. From there, you can browse our private database while our team actively recommends anyone we believe could be a great fit.

Don’t see anyone with whom you resonate? Our team is happy to leverage our outreach and marketing team to find interested donors just for you.

3. Finding a Match

Once you’re interested in a donor, our team will facilitate the communication before you match, including a meeting by video call, in person, or whatever feels most comfortable to you.

You’ll be able to meet and connect with your potential match and mutually decide whether to move forward with a journey.

4. Funding the Journey

Before your journey begins, you'll fund a third-party escrow account to ensure everything is financially in place. We never hold in-house escrow and rely on trusted partners to maintain a secure and ethical process throughout.

5. Clinic Approval

Once our team has received all the match documents and our agency fee, we will forward the match sheet to your clinic of choice.

Your donor will undergo a psychological screening to ensure she is emotionally prepared for the process, genetic counseling with a geneticist to review her family history and any potential risks, and a thorough medical screening with your doctor. The results typically take about 3 weeks to process. If the donor is genetically compatible and all her tests are favorable, the clinic will issue a medical clearance.

6. Legal Contracts

Once the clinic has medically cleared your donor, we will send the legal terms to your attorney to draft the egg donor contract. The donor’s attorney will also review the contract with your donor, and once you mutually agree on the terms, the contract is signed, and legal clearance will be issued to the clinic.

7. Appointments & Procedures

After receiving legal clearance, your clinic will create a tentative calendar for everyone to approve, which includes the schedule for your donor’s stimulation cycle and egg retrieval.

Your donor will begin her stimulation hormones once the calendar is approved, and they typically remain on stimulation hormones and medications for 8 to 14 days to mature the eggs. She will be attending monitoring appointments during this timeframe to measure her follicle count, follicle size and hormone levels.

8. Compensation Schedule

When your donor starts injectable medication, they will receive a predetermined portion of your agreed upon compensation. The full balance of your compensation will be paid in full following the egg retrieval.

During this time, we encourage you to write a heartfelt note of appreciation or provide a small gift to show support before the egg retrieval.

9. Egg Retrieval & Fertilization

Once the eggs have matured, your donor will undergo a minor outpatient procedure to aspirate, or collect any matured eggs. The retrieval should take place around the indicated date on the calendar.

Once collected, the eggs will be fertilized using the sperm you, your partner, or a sperm donor have provided. The fertilization process will take 5 to 7 days, and any updates on the growth of the embryos will be provided by the clinic as they develop.

10. Embryo Culture & Testing

In this final stage of embryo development, your embryos will be cultured for up to 7 days. During this time, the clinic will monitor their growth and quality. The goal is to develop as many viable embryos as possible. Once the embryos have developed, you will proceed to genetically test your embryos or prepare for a transfer via IVF.

  • There are two ways to gain access to our database. You can complete a quick questionnaire online, and a Genesis representative will contact you shortly to activate your account so you can view our donors and surrogates.

The second option is to call our office directly at (310) 550-6889. Our team will be happy to help guide you through the questionnaire and provide you with a username and password to log in.

  • Egg donors are matched on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you have identified a potential candidate you’d like to move forward with, please reach out to a Genesis team member as soon as possible to express your interest.

Even if you’re still deciding, we encourage you to contact us so we can confirm the candidate’s availability and answer any questions you may have. We always welcome any communication and value the opportunity to answer questions or concerns directly.

  • If you do not find a perfect match in our current database, we have a dedicated marketing team that specializes in placing advertisements based around your unique needs. We are happy to direct our efforts towards your criteria and search for a donor or surrogate at no additional cost to you.

  • We highly recommend working with an attorney, and we are happy to provide advice and assistance while you secure the right partner. Laws in the fertility industry are not settled, and it is not a good idea to move forward without proper representation.

Our egg donors, sperm donors, and surrogates are all required to have an attorney in every cycle.
