Our surrogacy program combines boutique, individualized support for your journey with expert-level care and coordination. With a dedicated case manager alongside a team of in-person, hybrid, and international staff based out of our Pasadena, California office, your journey is in trusted hands from the day you apply to the moment your child arrives.
We center our program around transparency, trust, and ethical operations for parents and surrogates alike. Our private database of thoroughly vetted surrogate candidates is always expanding, and our partnerships with leading IVF clinics and trusted third-party escrow companies ensure every aspect of your journey is handled with integrity.
Your Genesis Surrogacy Timeline
1. Joining our Program
First, complete our intended parent application to gain access to our private database of gestational carrier candidates. Once we connect, we’ll host a one-on-one consultation to introduce you to our program, learn about your story and current needs, and answer any questions you have about the journey ahead.
2. Using our Database
In order to help you find the perfect match, you’ll build an intended parent profile alongside our team with a short bio, what you're looking for in a surrogate, and a few personality questions to help us get to know you. From there, you can browse our private database while our team actively recommends anyone we believe could be a great fit.
3. Finding a Match
Once you’re interested in a potential surrogate, our team will facilitate the communication before you match, including a meeting by video call, in person, or whatever feels most comfortable to you.
You’ll be able to meet and connect with your potential match and mutually decide whether to move forward with a journey.
4. Funding the Journey
Before your journey begins, you'll fund a third-party escrow account to ensure everything is financially in place. We never hold in-house escrow and rely on trusted partners to maintain a secure and ethical process throughout.
There are multiple checkpoint at which deposits and payments may be due to move forward, and our team is more than happy to discuss specific timelines during your consultation or whenever requested.
5. Clinic Approval
Once our team has received all the match documents and our agency fee, we will forward our collected medical records, a medical review from a third party Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) specialist, and the match sheet to your clinic of choice.
Your clinic will conduct a medical screening appointment for your gestational carrier and their partner (if applicable), including specific fertility testing and measurements to determine if they can safely move forward and whether there are any risks that would preclude them from surrogacy.
6. Legal Contracts
Once the clinic has medically cleared your surrogate, the drafting and execution of legal contracts between you and your surrogate will begin. After you mutually agree on the terms and sign the contracts alongside your AAARTA-certified attorney, legal clearance will be issued to the clinic.
7. Appointments & Procedures
After receiving legal clearance, your clinic will develop a cycle calendar and prescribe a series of fertility medications for your surrogate to take in preparation of the embryo transfer. According to her cycle calendar and her body’s receptiveness to the medications, the embryo transfer date will be finalized by your clinic during the monitoring appointments.
8. IVF Embryo Transfer
Upon the completion of a successful medication cycle and clinic approval, your surrogate will attend her embryo transfer appointment.
During the embryo transfer, your selected embryo will be gently placed into the gestational carrier’s uterus using a thin catheter under ultrasound guidance. The process is designed to be quick and generally painless, though mild discomfort is possible. and rest is required following the procedure.
9. Pregnancy Test
Typically, your clinic and surrogate will test to confirm pregnancy ten days post-transfer. If a viable pregnancy is confirmed, your surrogate will move forward while attending monitoring appointments from your clinic, then a designated OBGYN.
10. Next Steps
Following a successful transfer and throughout your surrogate’s pregnancy, your case manager will coordinate communication, appointments, and logistics between medical providers, escrow, and more. As the delivery date moves closer, you will develop a birth plan alongside your surrogate, confirm birth orders with your attorney, and prepare for delivery.

There are two ways to gain access to our database. You can complete a quick questionnaire online, and a Genesis representative will contact you shortly to activate your account so you can view our donors and surrogates.
The second option is to call our office directly at (310) 550-6889. Our team will be happy to help guide you through the questionnaire and provide you with a username and password to log in. -
Gestational carriers are matched on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you have identified a potential candidate you’d like to move forward with, please reach out to a Genesis team member as soon as possible to express your interest.

If you do not find a perfect match in our current database, we have a dedicated marketing team that specializes in placing advertisements based around your unique needs. We are happy to direct our efforts towards your criteria and search for a donor or surrogate at no additional cost to you.

We highly recommend working with an attorney, and we are happy to provide advice and assistance while you secure the right partner. Laws in the fertility industry are not settled, and it is not a good idea to move forward without proper representation.
Our egg donors, sperm donors, and surrogates are all required to have an attorney in every cycle.
